This international Journal is based on an clinical psychological science and neuroscience interface, aiming the publishment of scientific articles with relevance in the field (e.g., areas of cognition, emotion, learning, memory, sensation, perception). Each volume will have about 10 original articles, fulfilling all criteria for the highest scientific quality standards.
Papers submitted to the International Journal of Psychology and Neuroscience are subject to rigorous peer review to ensure that the research is based in the best scientific evidence available.
All papers will go through initial evaluation.
At an editorial level and those refereed to be of major importance will then be peer reviewed by two or more experts through double-blind peer review process (authors are not told who reviewed their paper, and reviewers are not told who wrote the paper). The editor-in-chief will see the manuscripts concluded by peer reviewers to acceptance or rejection.
Peer reviewers will then give their opinion on a number of issues regarding scientific and formal aspects of a paper. All pertinent information will be forwarded to the author(s).
Peer reviewers will have five possible options, for each article:
Accept manuscript (i.e., no necessity of any revision);
Accept after revision (i.e., accepted if the author makes the demanded revisions);
Revise and resubmit (i.e., accepted or rejected after revisions been made – paper will be sent out for another peer review round),
Submit elsewhere (i.e., if the paper is most suitable for another journal)
Reject manuscript (i.e. if the manuscript is insufficient)
All articles published in International Journal of Psychology and Neuroscience are posted online immediately as soon they are ready for publication. The journal periodicity of publication will be quarterly.
Open Access
International Journal of Psychology and Neuroscience is published under the Open Access model and is therefore free for anybody to read and download, and to copy and disseminate either for educational, clinical and research purposes. Articles will be published immediately after final corrections.
