Bachelor and Master in Clinical and Health Psychology at Aveiro University (Portugal) and internship in Coimbra Hospital University Centre (e.g., Intervention in Sleep Disorders and Pain Disorders). Later, worked as a psychologist and neuropsychologist. Also performed a research project in Biofeedback/Neurofeedback by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Is currently working with the Institution of Solidarity Projecto Homem / Braga in the additions field. In parallel, also conducts outpatient consultations in various psychological disorders. Concomitantly, made several national and international communications in various Congress as Guest Speaker in the field of Neuroscience and Editor – Journal of Neurology & Stroke (JNSK); ISSN: 2373-6410 Author of several articles in peer review journals. His research is in cardiovascular behavioral medicine, and has focused particularly on behavioral and psychological factors associated with cardiovascular risks in posttraumatic stress disorder. He also examines other behavioral and psychological markers (e.g., health risk behaviors, stress and cognitive appraisal) for heart disease and other chronic illnesses.
